The Striar Hebrew Academy offers a
comprehensive educational program for children of toddler age through Grade Six.
In accordance with a philosophy of
developmentally appropriate individualized education, we strive to provide a
learning environment that will meet the needs of each child. The goal of the
applications process is to determine whether the child’s and family’s needs
would be appropriately met at our school. If our professional educators
determine that we are unable to meet a child’s individual needs given our
current program and resources, the Administration will meet with that child’s
family to suggest other potential educational options.
Striar Hebrew Academy accepts all Jewish
children. Any question about the determination of a child’s background or
exceptions to this policy will be discussed with the school’s halachic authority
whose decisions are final in this matter.
Preschool-aged children must have their
birthdays by September 1 of that academic year to enter our Toddler class (2
years old), Nursery (3 years old), Pre-kindergarten (4 years old) and
Kindergarten (5 years old). Elementary-aged children will be considered age
appropriate for first grade if they are 6 years old by September 1 of that
academic year.
