At Striar Hebrew Academy, our goal is to make a Jewish Day School education accessible to all families who desire one for their children. Recognizing that a SHAS education requires a significant financial investment, our Tuition Assistance Committee strives to allocate our limited pool of funds based on financial need. Tuition Assistance is viewed as a collaboration between families and the school to fund each child's tuition and, as such, every family is expected to make some amount of financial commitment toward their child's education.
All tuition assistance applications and personal financial information are submitted securely and are kept in strict confidence. The deadline for 2018-19 tuition assistance applications is March 31, 2018.

Your application is NOT COMPLETE without the following:
FACTS Grant & Aid online application completed. (Fee of $30 payable to FACTS.)
Copy of 2017 IRS Federal Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ income tax return. If co-applicants file separately, both returns are required.
Copies of all 2017 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements.
Copies of supporting tax schedules for income from Business, Rental Properties, S-Corps or Partnerships, Estates and Trusts, if applicable.
Copies of all supporting documentation for SSI, Welfare, Child Support, Worker's Compensation or other forms of assistance, if applicable.
In some cases, the Tuition Assistance Committee may request additional documentation. If there is additional information that you feel is important for the Tuition Assistance Committee to consider that is not captured through the online application, please send an email detailing this information to the school Treasurer, Dan Rosen: firstname.lastname@example.org.
