Building community and bettering the future, one child at a time

At Striar Hebrew Academy, our goal is to make a Jewish Day School education accessible to all families who desire one for their children. Recognizing that a SHAS education requires a significant financial investment, our Tuition Assistance Committee strives to allocate our limited pool of funds based on financial need. Tuition Assistance is viewed as a collaboration between families and the school to fund each child's tuition and, as such, every family is expected to make some amount of financial commitment toward their child's education.

All tuition assistance applications and personal financial information are submitted securely and are kept in strict confidence. The deadline for 2021-2022 tuition assistance applications is March 31, 2021.

To apply, go to this link: FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.

SHAS Tuition Accessibility Program (STAP): STAP has been created to make a SHAS education available to a wider range of families, including those who previously would not have applied or qualified for traditional Tuition Assistance. The program offers a dollar amount discount per student in grades K-5 based on family AGI, with a maximum AGI of $299,000. Eligibility for this program requires an applicant to complete a one-page application and submit the first two pages of their form 1040. Applications must be submitted during February through March. Late applications will not be guaranteed the discount. Families can apply for both Tuition Assistance and STAP, and will receive the greater of the two awards. The STAP Discount cannot be combined with any other discount.  Click Here To Access The STAP Application
