Building community and bettering the future, one child at a time
Ezra Schwartz zk"l Memorial Fund

A member of the Class of 2009, Ezra Schwartz zk"l attended SHAS from Nursery through 6th Grade, and then served as an early childhood assistant at SHAS for his senior project while at Maimonides School.  In 2015, while on his gap year in Israel, Ezra was tragically killed in a terrorist attack.

Ezra was always full of life and embodied all the values we teach at SHAS. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and by the students at SHAS. In his memory, Ari and Ruth Schwartz established a memorial scholarship fund so that no child would be denied a Jewish education because of finances. We believe that Ezra's character lives on in all the students at SHAS and he is cheering us on as we continue to grow the school.
